It's the most wonderful time of the year.... Noelle Adelaide Abara is an incurable romantic. A daydreamer. An old soul. She fantasizes about wearing ballgowns, riding in carriages, and waltzing into the night. Unfortunately, she lives in New Shire City, in the 21st century. Not exactly a Victorian fairytale. And she has never felt like she fit in. But when a Christmas wish works a bit better than expected, she finds herself transported back in time to a Victorian winter wonderland. She feels at home here, comfortable in her own skin, and will be able to celebrate the kind of Christmas she has always wished for. The thing is, everyone thinks her name is Clara, a girl who looks exactly like her, and is nowhere to be found. Clara Marie Smith is a no nonsense kind of girl. She does not believe in wishes or magic, and is definitely not whimsical. She hates her life, full of stupid balls, and ridiculous dresses. She has never belonged, too outlandish with her modern ideas. She wishes she lived in another time. And she gets her wish, but not exactly as she expected. She is now in 21st century New Shire, a place she fits and belongs, but everyone thinks her name is Noelle. The two girls must work together to return to their respective times before Christmas Eve, or they will be stuck forever. To do this, they must find out the true meaning of Christmas, whatever the heck that means. As the clock ticks closer and closer they must realize they are more connected then they thought, and that want isn't always the same as need. This is an advent calendar story, it will have 25 chapters, one released on every day of December up until Christmas Day.- Reads 339
