A very short Christmas story for our Diyue, inspired by The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

My eyes land on the hospital bill in my hand, and I slowly lick my lips. "Oh, fuck." I whisper, and slowly reach a shaking hand out to steady myself. $78,000 dollars? I didn't have a quarter of that. "Are you okay, Jasmine?" a tiny voice peeps from behind me, and I turn around to see my little sister clutching her teddy bear in the door way. "Y-yeah. I'm fine." I say brightly, and I wince. Even I could hear the despair in my voice. Lacey falls for it, and smiles at me, giving me a hug. "Okay, Jaz. Love you." "Love you...love you too." I clear my throat halfway through, the hospital bill still crumbled in my hands. +++++++++ I was drowning, in bills, tears, and plastic bags. He was swimming in money, laughter, and love. I didn't deserve him. He knew that. Everyone did. Which is why December was cold, and Christmas was lonely. ++++++++ book three in the 'Months' series.

Hello lovelies! This December once every week I'm writing a Christmas/Winter/Any Holliday involves in December themed one-shot! I hope you all enjoy! So I'm going to start my own tradition on here and every year I'm going to write a christmas fan fic which will include my favourite couples from my favourite tv shows, christmas and New years. What's not to love about this new tradition? After I've finished with my favourite couples from my favourite tv shows i'm going to ask you what your favourite couples/ characters from tv shows are, do some research and create and dedicate stories to you as a christmas present. I'm just that kind of person.
