Raine, the only son to a disgraced, impoverished noble house. When the previous Exalt of Ylisse was still in charge, Raine's father was one of his top generals in the war against Plegia. After the death of the Exalt, however, the many crimes he committed during his time in the army were exposed. The disgusting nature of the man was finally revealed. As such, he was imprisoned and many of his valuables were confiscated, leaving his wife and child nobles in name only. Growing up with the stigma of being the son of a disgraced noble, Raine was shunned by commoners and nobles alike. As such, he learned to rely on himself from a young age, learning swordsmanship and other skills useful to a young lord. Once he finally reached the age of 17, Raine set out as a hired blade, earning a fair income for his near-destitute mother, hoping to raise enough to return his family to true nobility. However, once he turned 20, his mother passed away from a disease she had kept hidden from him for many years. With nowhere else to turn, Raine joined the Shepherds. Since he had nobody else to fight for, he decided to dedicate his life to protecting the innocent people of Ylisse, and to serve the son of the Exalt who had taken away his father. Yes this is a Fire Emblem High School AU. Yes I've been working on it for way too long. And yes I'm sharing it to Wattpad. While this is far from Fire Emblem canon, there are explanations as to why things are the way they are. What are they, you say? Well, that's why I put Mystery as the first genre, isn't it? There are way more prominent Fire Emblem characters that are not a part of the main cast, so don't get upset yet when you don't see Ike on the cover. I hope you like it! I like it for some reason. And then he woke up in an unfamiliar place. How strange is it, waking up in some random field? He soon found out exactly where he was: The Halidom of Ylissie. He recognized that name. He was in the world of Fire Emblem Awakening. He also had strange new powers now, too. Including the power to summon the mystical weapon, the keyblade. With no way back home in sight, all he could do was adapt and get stronger until he found the path home. It's a good thing he seemed to have allies in this new world. Maybe he could even avoid getting dragged into the main plot as he navigated this strange place and his new powers and duties as a keyblade wielder. Thus begins the story of the man who has taken on the name 'Genesis'.

But she has no time to ponder that as she and her sister, along with their friends, leap into the past to save the future. But as she navigates the past to defend her family, she might get the answer she needs. ... A semi-novelization of Awakening (kind of) with my own plots and characters fused with it. Spoilers for Awakening throughout, and more spoilers for more stuff (but that will spoil this book, so...yeah. I'll address that when you get to it.).
