Harmony was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a condition that shaped every moment of her life from the day she was born. Hospitals, surgeries, and constant uncertainty became normal, guided by her longtime doctor, Dr. Levi Perry, and her parents, both doctors who did everything to keep her alive while giving her as normal a childhood as possible. Surviving into her teenage years is already a miracle.
At fourteen, her life shatters when a car accident kills her parents. Harmony and her older brother George are the only survivors. While George recovers from his injuries, Harmony remains in a coma for two months, waking with severe, lifelong damage to her already fragile heart. Grief, trauma, and medical complications follow her every step.
With her parents gone, the family must decide who will take legal guardianship over Harmony and make critical medical decisions when she cannot. Though she has always had a voice, her life is now shaped by choices made in moments when she is too weak to speak.
As Harmony struggles to survive both physically and emotionally, she finds unexpected comfort in someone already in her circle-a person she barely knows, who sees her not as broken, but whole. Even with half a heart, Harmony learns that love can make her feel full.
