Clover attends University with his roommate Martlet in an attempt to become a police officer back in Hometown. But after him and his Classmate Asriel are tasked with fixing a steam generator, they are cast into darkness where they will learn they are apart of very large plan to keep order between the worlds of light and dark.

This is a story revolving around the concept of "Hey, what if there was a virus that turned everyone it touched into the host?" And that host just so happens to be Martlet from Undertale Yellow.
