The only problem? She doesn't have any clues whatsoever. Even her surname, which seemed to die in the fire as well, eludes her. The deeper she digs, the more she realizes they weren't the only ones who betrayed her. Patches of her childhood are missing like pieces torn from a puzzle, and she can't remember what belongs in the empty spaces. In pursuit of answers, she turns to the Port Mafia. After all, who would know more about Yokohama's secrets than the largest criminal organization in Japan? Instead, she finds herself eventually assigned to Chuuya Nakahara: an Executive with a short temper, a fancy hat, and far too many opinions about how she does her job. As old memories resurface and buried truths begin clawing their way into the light, Y/N finds herself forced to answer a different question entirely: What do you do when the people you've spent your life searching for don't want to be found?

An alternative universe where Chuuya and Dazai ended up together as partners again after Dazai had betrayed the port mafia. Neither of them expected to be fighting along each side again.

Chuuya sat an inch away from the bandaged man but the atmosphere felt as if they were touching. "Chuuya?" Dazai paused, his breath hitching at the name. "Why did you answer my text?"
