[Cinderella Boy by Punko] In canon "Buddy" is an agent or former agent of the cult Ex-Libris and Chase is his heroine counterpart and protagonist of the comic. But the funny thing about cults is, they don't operate on fairytale rules, not even the magical ones. So anyone could have been the Villainess. It could have been Chase.

Ramona "Mona" Gray only wanted to catch a big fish. Instead she caught a boy the same height as herself. Adam Fink was trying to catch a girl to take home to his grandpa that only wanted him to fall in love... With anyone, he didn't care as long as Adam was happy like his parents had been when they had met. Ramona didn't want a boy to bring home to her mom. Her sister already had a man lined up for the both of them, and neither of those boys was Adam. No, they were "respectful" gentlemen. Which to Ramona meant they were snobbish and most likely sexist in their own subtle ways. They wouldn't care for her boy short hair or that she loved her beanie dearly and would never part with it. Still, with matching plaid button ups that were both bought from the same side of the store it was clear that these two would get along... Well mostly, Adam wasn't too keen when she pushed him off the dock. And Ramona wasn't too happy to jump in after him to save him when he could have easily stood up in the water. After she took to calling him princess while he continued to access that she needed to grow out some stubble since she was already working the "man of the wilderness" look. Their adventures of their senior year will be tricky, probably a bit roundabout, and maybe just a teeny bit romantic. Still its like Ramona always says, "high school is just some pond to practice life in, once its over you go down the river of college and then you're at the ocean of opportunity and depending on what kind of fish you are it could be scary and vast or it can be too small and lonely." After Deacon finds out about how Buddy and Chase saved everyone from the damaged book, he tries to prove a point by choosing a sapphic enemies to lovers story. Unfortunately, the point does not land the way he hoped, and just causes tons of drama.

While studying for medical school, he looked into psychology from time to time, too. But he'd never confront them about it. His parents only wanted the best for him, right? They never hit him or abused him in any way, shape, or form, so he didn't deserve to feel bad. Deacon didn't had the right to dislike his childhood when others were suffering much worse than him. So when him and Chase enter a book that leads to the heroine's mother acting like a carbon-copy of Deacon's, he finally snaps. He could deal with the pain, but no way in hell would he allow anybody to make his cousin feel the same way.

"As... Entertaining as that sounds, not much for you." Deacon flapped the pages absentmindedly. "I looked through it, it's pretty simple. Nothing changes much for you, you get cursed as a baby, find out you're the long-lost princess, run into the forest to get hypnotized by the evil fairy, and prick your finger. Boom, you get to sleep for the rest of the book until the wedding. The only thing that really changes is there's no dragon like in the Disney version, it's just a fight." Chase nods. "And... Buddy'll be the evil fairy, Maleficent, whatever she's called in this version, right?" "Like in all the twenty other versions we've done of Sleeping Beauty, most likely." "And you?" "No clue. I've been a lot of stuff in this story; from one of your fairy caretakers to the prince's companion. I guess don't be surprised if you don't see me," Deacon said with a half-hearted shrug. "Alrighty!" Chase scurried up the ladder to their book-diving hideout, smiling at Silver. "You ready, girlie-pop?" "Girl... Ie pop?" ~~~ Chase and Deacon go into yet another rendition of Sleeping Beauty; doesn't seem too different. Chase pricks his finger, sleeps, the prince fights the evil fairy, rescues Chase... Except he doesn't. The kiss - the magical true love's kiss - isn't so magical. Chase is still asleep, and everybody's freaking out. The prince, Deacon, even Nox, surprisingly. There's only one thing that they can possibly think of. Chase needs an actual true love's kiss to wake him, and obviously the prince - basically an NPC - isn't his true love. So when a weird and mysterious eye-shaped neclace appears on his nightstand, and the next day, on his neck, Chase panics. After some weeks, he realises that this is not a normal necklace, and something is haunting him. It slowly becomes clear that this 'something' is manipulating hi memories. Can Chase, and later Nox, both escape this paranormal reality? Book 1: Buddy and Chase finally became a thing, a long-distance thing, which makes Chase worried. Buddy refuses to have them meet in real life, out of the storybooks where they hang out. Finally, Chase gets tired of it and deicides to take matters in his own hand. But what if Ex Libris has already got a plan.... Book 2: As the fight of Ex Libris comes to an end, Chase and Buddy are finally able to relax and settle down. But suddenly Chase falls ill...it got so bad that he couldn't get out of bed. And as Chase gets closer and closer to dying, Buddy has not been the same. He has been going into books to escape when Chase was really bad because he couldn't handle it, and he meets someone who gotten hold of a key.
