17 year-old Cinderella Rose Burkenson is in her senior year at Westover High. Being the only nice person in her family she survives on scraps of food, and her books. Her father left when she was three and her mother remarried to a jerk of a guy and his two evil daughters. They live to terrorize Cinderella, and make her life a living a hell. Shortly after married, her mother passed away, and Cinder could tell her stepdevil is the one who killed her but Cinder can't prove it. Now she lives to survive cleaning the house on her own and a few beatings when she doesn't do what she's told. Matthew Abernathy is supposedly the good boy son of the mayor. But there's another side to him. He's a bad boy and proud of it. He sneaks out of the house to party whenever he can, and when his father is elected mayor, he gets to live in a crazy mansion, but his father still disapproves of his actions. His father holds a masquerade ball for a little fun, and what happens when he meets this beautiful girl, that he has no idea who she is or what her life is like.

Ashe isn't looking for a happily ever after with Prince Charming. She just needs to pay off her father's debts. Pity her fairy godmother wasn't paying attention. Will a magic dress and a pair of uncomfortable shoes solve her financial problems? Or will it only make matters worse?
