She applied to Harvard and got a full scholarship but instead went to SCU because she had to take care of Roy. The Lance, Queen, and Merlyn families offered to pay for her to go to college but she got a scholarship. She grew very close to Tommy and after he died she went somewhere she very much regrets now.
