However, you accidentally end up meeting a Civil Protection medic. Can he make you believe that your life is still worth living? All the pictures, as well as the cover image, are made by me. PLEASE READ BEFORE READING THE STORY! Inspired by a very old HL2RP session I had with a friend. If you have no idea about HL2 universe, please do some background research before reading; things can otherwise get confusing and unclear! In the next chapters the story might include more and more violence, so be aware. Also, when I talk about the reader, I use the pronoun "she/her", since in the original role play the citizen was female. However, the reader can be of any gender.

Two citizens are living a normal, crappy life in City 17. But when they're relocated to another apartment, things get worse. Much worse.

When the G-Man plucks Gordon Freeman out of stasis and drops him onto a train bound for City 17, the world is already unrecognizable. But the familiar chill of Combine oppression has been replaced by a primal, suffocating dread.
