Jim panicked. He had just come down to Troll Market to answer a summons by Vendel, a terrifying feeling in and of itself. But he didn't expect the Heartstone to turn green! Hierarchies are everywhere. There are the bullied and the bullies; the weak and the strong; the loud and the quiet. In his normal, repeated every day life, Imelio Navarro navigates school as someone 'unimportant'. He kept to himself. He kept quiet. He avoided eye contact and people. He made himself invisible. He avoided Steve Palchuk like the plague and turned in his work on time just like everyone else. Straight-A student; incredibly intelligent, but with the lack of friends. Started writing before I saw Wizards, so this is an alternate timeline. "Do you find me adventurous yet?" One normal day changes everything for Scarlett, a 16-year-old fast food worker from Gatton. One moment, she is discussing aliens with her protective Green Lantern BFF, Bracha Gilthoniel; the next, wondering how she's going to save her little sister from a crazy clown. The Fast Food Worker's life is turned upside down when finds an amulet in Gatton, and gets dragged into a world full of Trolls, Goblins, Gnomes, and... Wizards? However, when Scarlett gets in an argument with her parents, begging her to go back to the way she used to be, Scarlett is forced to decide what is more important: stopping the spiteful, evil Trolls that attack anyone and plan on killing humans, or preserving her relationship with her parents? Scarlett finds herself troubled by her ideals and insane Troll ideals and becomes overwhelmed with moral questions. Will her conscience allow her to do whatever is needed to stop the spiteful Trolls? Can she keep the heroes of her world off her scent? Or would her world's greatest detective find out and end up destroying her new friends entire lives? And what's with Merlin being a jerk? (Okay, I'm just leaving this here because I hate it, and I will eventually rewrite it, change up the characters, and make it just better, but that won't be for another few years.)

For Douxie, being an immortal wizard had a lot of perks, but also a lot of downsides. One being that he forever looked 16. One day he gets caught by the police and sent to live with a foster family, the Lakes, and gets far more attached to them than he'd planned. But apparently living with the Lakes came with it's own downsides, and his life gets turned into chaos. But it's all worth it for family, right? Basically Douxie gets sent to live with Jim and Barbara, but of course since Jim is the Trollhunter shit just keeps happening and Douxie wants nothing more than to keep his new family safe. In this Jim has been the Trollhunter for a couple months and of course it's very canondivergent because Douxie is now part of the equation. Canon ships only cos It's one of the only shows where the canon ships are actualy really good and cute. Also I know I used the cover art for another one of my fics but I literally cannot find any other art or anything with Jim and Douxie in it so sorry but this is my go to. Sorta inspired by this fic on AO3 called Pros and Cons of Eternal Youth by claycastles, but not a bunch. Enjoy!
