I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.

This is the sequel to 'The outside'. Clancy and Torchbearer get some devastating news that changes everything.

Nico is attending morning check-up at a university in Dema when he comes face to face with his worst fear. The new prodigal son, the new Clancy, the new "Hero" of Dema.

Like everyone else, I believed it all: that Vialism was the only truth, and that giving up my life was the greatest honour achievable: "to live fully is to sacrifice all". But since I signed The Pact, the oath to give my life for the honour and glory of Vialism at the next Annual Assemblage, something in me changed... The cycle has, once again, repeated itself. Dema is now ruled over by 9 new Bishops, the most powerful of which being Clancy, or as he is now known, Nova. Once a pragmatic escapee, Clancy now carries out the one thing he swore to denounce. Vialism. The Banditos have found themselves right back where they started. Seen as the enemy, they still try every means possible to bring peace and safety to the people of Dema, but their attempts are futile. When all hope seems lost, another escapee is found. People assume that she is just another citizen looking for a brief reprieve from the oppression. But they were wrong. She is the only one who can save Trench from the iron fists of the Bishops. She is The Øne. First story! I hope that little blurb hooks you in :3 I will try and update this as much as possible, but, as most people do, I have quite a busy life. Being an antique dealer's assistant- such a honor! There's nothing more enchanting than sitting behind a desk in the corner of a shop that smells of mothballs and book glue. Oh, the enthralling joy. Escape is infeasible. What's more, the old crone that runs the shop is about as stable as a Jenga tower. Clancy can't help but feel obligated to give a hand in running the place, especially considering the fact that his two identical siblings (and his father) came to their conclusion of "She was better off being abandoned than helped,"- and that was a direct quote. He should've gotten that degree in business after all. It was a chilled spring when things began, ever-so-gradually, turning around- but for better or worse would require a madman's opinion. Meaning, no-one with two cents' worth of sense would expect the local beggar to have anything of much value, except perhaps for laundry coupons or socks given to him by a sympathetic soul....But there he went, and clattered what looked to be, at the time, an old wooden trinket-box onto Clancy's counter. No explanation. No imploring for an exchange. Not more than eight words were offered from the old man's cracked-tooth grin. "I stole this. Now it's yours. The story of Clancy told through Torchbearer's perspective with a little twist.

So these are just a random bunch of song lyrics I wanted to write. It really isn't anything special, they're for myself and are suited to me but I thought I'd publish them just in case anybody can relate and understand the metaphors. These are all inspired by twenty one pilots, my favourite band. I saw them live 5th March 2019 and it was a life changing experience. I want to write lyrics to help myself and others.
