I hope others read this letter and resonate with the tone and underlying feelings Trumps presidency brought. I wrote this letter in 2016/2017, a few week following the 2016 presidential election. This election motivated me to find my real passion, politics.

You ever wanted something so bad? You feel like it's within reach but you still can't seem to get it. Read how Kaydence (Khia Monique) and her friends get through their first year of college wanting things they can't necessarily have. PREVIEW: Look at us" i said braking the silence between the 3 of us. "We all just going through it." i added on. "It's these niggas, they the problem." Justice said as she sat with her head down on my vanity. "What if we're the problem?" Ari said making me and Justice jump up. "Baby you're not the problem" i said to her as i rubbed her back. "Don't blame yourself for what that bum ass nigga did." Justice added on. "If i would've just left him alone i wouldn't be going through this." Ari said as a tear ran down her face. She tried to wipe it away before we saw it. "You left when you were ready." Justice said. "I haven't even left yet, i'm still in this situation. Amir knows how to get to me y'all. He knows how to make me mad just as good as he knows how to make me happy." she explained. "Don't let him buy himself out of this one Ari for real. You don't need him or his money." I exclaimed. "What am I going to tell Benji, I was supposed to see him tonight." Ari said. The mention of Benji's name made her tears just start to flow. "Tell him the truth." I advised her. "I don't want him to know that i get beat on Kaydence." Ari hissed.
