Stevie Kane, the only daughter of Marcus Kane and the girlfriend of Bellamy Blake. As a little girl her mother had taught her to follow her dreams and not to worry about the people who were going to stop her. It's better to try and fail then not try at all. And so she did but consequences were served. Committing a crime or two, Stevie had helped those who needed medical attention or supplies. She had also kept a major secret. Bellamy Blake had a secret younger sister who has been living under the floor. On the ark it was forbidden to have a second child. Stevie blames herself for revealing that secret. The Blakes didn't. Octavia, Bellamy's sister along with Stevie had been arrested, their mother was floated and now it was Octavia and Stevie's turn. It so happens they were given a second chance.

Liliana Kane was hidden from the Ark for something she couldn't control - her blood. Black blood made her a freak, an irregularity, a fatal flaw in something so strong. That's why she was kept hidden for nine years from everyone but the council. Mother died at age eight, father not really a father, Lily had to learn how to survive on her own. When 100 delinquents plus one are sent down to earth, she has to survive on her own even more, and protect her secrets.
