At Clarksville General, saving lives comes at a cost. Dr. Mya Jefferson is a gifted surgeon holding together a hospital that never sleeps-while her own life quietly unravels. As emergencies flood the ER, she battles impossible hours, hospital politics, and the growing distance between herself and her teenage daughter. Beside her, veteran nurse Renae Waters carries the emotional weight of a system stretched thin, and young resident Dre Collins learns that healing others doesn't protect you from heartbreak at home. When one patient's fragile fight for life exposes the cracks in the hospital's foundation, the staff of Clarksville General must confront a painful truth: not every loss can be prevented-and not every wound is visible. Heart of the City is a powerful, character-driven medical drama about duty, sacrifice, and the human cost of caring when there's nothing left to give.

Before Heaven fractured... before Earth became a battlefield... there was silence. In the celestial Halls of Memory, Solomon discovers the unthinkable: Heaven is rewriting judgment. When he refuses to record a lie, his voice is stripped away-marking the first crack in divine perfection. At the Gates of Renewal, Anthony chooses destruction over delay when corrupted souls breach eternity. For his "overreach," he is cast into the Flame Forges and reforged into something far more dangerous-a weapon Heaven can use, but never fully control. At the Outer Veil, Homer defies protocol, allowing a dying child to glimpse the truth of Heaven. For that act of compassion, he is cast into the void and returns changed-gifted, or cursed, with the Sight of Seven possible futures. Three broken angels. Three acts of defiance. Three consequences Heaven tried to bury. Instead, they are repurposed. Under the authority of the archangel Josie, they become The Retribution Unit-a silent force tasked with correcting imbalance without recognition or glory. Their mission: hunt the Purifiers, a radical faction of angels who believe humanity must be erased. But the fracture runs deeper. In Clarksville, where the veil between realms is thinning, an angel named Luke begins to move-not with violence, but with doubt. He believes Heaven has grown weak... and intends to correct it. As the Unit descends to Earth, the war shifts. A Watcher named Julius observes. The Council tightens control. Josie risks everything. And Luke begins reshaping belief itself. When the Veil tears open above Clarksville, the Unit must choose not just how to fight-but who they are becoming. Because this war will not be decided by power. It will be decided by choice.

Everyone Deals with trauma and grief in different ways. Mine was to ignore it. Shut it out. Shut the world out. Never thinking about what happened. Never acknowledging the pain and loneliness I felt. That is, until I met a certain few who would crack me open, and change my life forever.

We all know the struggle of trying to finish a work project or study for an exam when there are thousands of ways to distract ourselves online. A few years ago, I couldn't work on an assignment for more than 10 minutes without checking my Facebook feed or playing a quick game of Starcraft. Here are some techniques that I used to kick my procrastination habit: • Keep your phone/remote control in your closet: Think of things in terms of activation energy, or the amount of effort it takes to start a task. When your cell phone or remote control is sitting right next to you, the activation energy required to send a text or turn on your TV is low, and these become are huge potential distractors. Whenever you need to focus on work, try keeping your TV remote/cell phone in the back of your closet, while keeping your textbooks/work papers within arms-reach. It's a simple concept, yet I was amazed by how much easier it was to focus on work with this trick. • Remove bookmarks for Netflix/Facebook/etc.: Similar to the trick above, you'll be way less tempted to compulsively check social media updates when it takes more than a single click to do so. I keep links to these sites inside an obscure folder, which is in another obscure folder, and so on. After a while, I was able to work for hours without even thinking about anything else.
