She was taken to America and raised in abusive conditions. When the villain disappeared when she was 7, she was put in foster care. At the age of 11, she tried to kill herself. To her dismay, she was unsuccessful and was stuck in a coma for 4 months, but her attempt allowed her real family to find her. She was moved to Japan upon her recovery and struggled through a custody battle that had Japan and America in a tug-of-war for 3 years. Will she EVER get into U.A.? Will she stick it to her dad? Will she get to go on that date with "purple guy" as Kacchan calls him? Who fucking knows. Some original villains aren't villains because I don't like cannon so... have fun with that. 😃
