"WHY CAN'T YOU BE MINE..??" The story shows a mirror of India under the colonial rule in 1930's and 1940's. The story is of a girl struggling for her rights in the oppressive era.Watch her fight the obstacles that came her way. Agni, a woman of sharp mind and quiet iron, has spent her life navigating the narrow path permitted to her. Working within a British-backed institution, she is a master of the subtle art of survival-until she becomes the obsession of Edward Blackwood, the son of the colonial elite. For Edward, Agni is a prize to be protected, a spirit to be tamed, and a jewel for his empire. But Agni's heart is anchored elsewhere. Vedaant Sharma is a man forged in the dark cells of Allahabad and the fierce debates of the courtroom. A nationalist lawyer with a surgical mind and a soul that refuses to bow, he represents everything the Raj fears: the rise of the educated Indian professional. His return to Lucknow ignites a slow-burning fire that challenges the very foundations of Edward's authority. As the "Quit India" movement of 1942 begins to tear the country apart, Agni and Vedaant must navigate a treacherous landscape of legal traps, social scandals, and imperial desperation. Their relationship is not a dependency born of weakness, but a partnership built on mutual respect and shared defiance. From the rain-soaked streets of Allahabad to the quiet havelis of Lucknow. It is a story of: A Shattered Empire: The slow, inevitable collapse of the British Raj seen through the eyes of those who dismantled it from within. The Weight of Obsession: A man's descent from privilege into the hollow realization that power cannot buy love. The Strength of Partnership: Two spirits finding a sanctuary in each other amidst the chaos of a revolution. In a world dictated by colonial rules, Agni and Vedaant will learn that the ultimate act of independence is not just reclaiming a country-it is reclaiming the right to love on their own terms.

England, 1811. At only twenty-one, Eliza Harrowby is already a widow. Trapped in black silk and condolences, she lives in a house too large, too quiet and too full of ghosts. Society expects her to remarry. Instead, she brings home a six-year-old orphan. Not out of kindness, but convenience. Thomas is thin, watchful, and far too used to being unwanted. He calls her Ma'am. He hides bread beneath his pillow. He never asks for anything. What begins as charity becomes something far more dangerous: attachment. As a wealthy gentleman offers her security... And a gentle gardener offers her understanding... Eliza must choose between the life she is expected to live, and the fragile, stubborn love growing in her orchard. *** ➪ This story is updated twice at week

Mam'zelle Guillotine by Baroness Emmuska Orczy. I do not own the story. Just thought of putting this great swash-buckling, adventures of the original superhero. copy from Project Gutenberg. "The King of France is attacked with a knife and Francois Damiens is arrested. He remains silent about the noblemen behind the plot, which was meant as a warning only for the King to change his ways. Damiens' daughter, Gabrielle, sets out to confront those responsible. Blackmail is her intention. However, she becomes involved with the Vicomte Fernand along the way and ends up living in luxury, but loses all when he marries the King's daughter and she resorts once again to blackmail. She is imprisoned, but then released from the Bastille when it is stormed during the Revolution. Hungry for revenge, she becomes the only female executioner for the new Republic and is known as Mam'zelle Guillotine."

I Knew Her as August begins the journey of Nicki Rosewood, the last royal angel princess and follows her as she questions her traditional and safe upbringing after the crowning of her brother, King Copenhagen. She dives into her curiosity for Demons -- the horned enemy of winged Angels -- as she meets a young mixed-demon woman, Conrad. The angel siblings indulge into the world of demons and Nicki discovers she would rather live in the unexpected danger than her safe, planned life with angels. As she drifts further from her royal cage, Nicki is introduced to the Omens; a powerful demon family that own nightclubs throughout Salt Lake City. Wyatt Omen takes a quick liking to Nicki and wants to learn more about her heritage, including the hidden powers of Angels. Their lives become intertwined in a twisted romance of temptation and the desperate longing to be wanted, leaving Nicki alone to face the cold truth of only being desired for her royal blood. I Knew Her as August will shock readers with bewilderment as they soar among the clouds with Copenhagen, and stun them in disbelief while they suffer alongside Nicki on a chained, bloody floor.

Can a heritage of savagery and a heart of sincerity coexist? The Origin. A race of beings who possess inhuman abilities and dwell in a society built upon strength and domination. For centuries, the strongest would rule and the weak were to obey. Though barbaric at first sight, this well established system maintained an era of peace among their kind. However... Somewhere down the line, a new leader arose. With his faction, he toppled the powers that be and founded his own governmental system. One based on corruption, caste systems and classism. Through usurped riches, he amassed great manpower and obedience. Thus the strong were cast into the depths of the slums, destined to serve the weak in a subjugation cloaked as 'law and order'. Until... One man from amongst the outcasts asked a single question... "Why do the strong serve the weak?" That man was... Dharun Tarheen!

This is available in the contributive common in almost every country, but USA. This is available on Amazon. It's available for free on many websites. The year 1984 has come and gone, but George Orwell's prophetic. nightmarish vision in 1949 of the world we were becoming is timelier than ever. 1984 is still the great modern classic of "negative utopia" -- A startling original and haunting novel that creates an imaginary world that is completely convincing. No one can deny the novel's hold on the imagination from the first sentence to the last four words. No one can deny the novel's hold on the imaginations of whole generations, or the power of its admonitions- a power that seems to grow, not lessen, with the passage of time. I want this also to act as a discussion over current issues, please keep this peaceful, and do not get arguments over opinions. I don't want this to become a book.
