a 'Xiaolin Showdown' AU in which a girl and a boy are thrust into a dangerous and insanely lethal adventure of a sick little game crafted from the minds of two unknown enemies who have her father and his youngest sister. Kimiko 'Tomye' is just having a normal morning in hers and her roommate, Jermaine Rhynch's, apartment when she suddenly sees an envelope at her doorstep from a mysterious sender. it entails information about the sender, whoever they were, having her father as their hostage. she is also told to find one Mr. Raimundo Pedrosa, whom she finds and meets in a neighborhood known to all New York residents as the slums. needless to say, she's pretty hesitant to trust him. actually, the two of them are both really hesitant to trust one another, even after she tells him that whoever has her father also has his youngest sister. turns out he's a former Interpol agent who resigned from the force out of guilt of what he'd done to his best friend on the force, and her real last name is not 'Tomye', but 'Tohomiko', and she's the daughter of (one of) the richest CEOs from the entire continent of Asia as well as the heir to the company. they still need to find a way to save Kimiko's father and Raimundo's youngest sister. only problem with their need to save their loved ones is that they can't seem to trust one another enough to team up, what with all the secrets that the two of them both keep from one another. will they find a way to trust one another in the long run of the dangerous game with which they're being forced by their unknown enemy to play along? how would their friends react to their joint situation should they find out about it? and most importantly of all, just who is the unknown enemy holding Kimiko's father and Raimundo's kid sister for ransom?

this story takes place in the alternate timeline from the 'Xiaolin Showdown' series finale. in this story, the young dragons-in-training come to the Xiaolin Temple of Chase Young after Master Fung is spirited away to the Yin-Yang World by the evil Master Monk Guan. Chase tries his hardest to help Dojo and the young monks cope, but he only gets through to Kimiko and the Omi from their universe. Then, Omi and Dojo go missing one day. Suddenly out of the blue, Omi and Dojo come back and start talking what seems like nonsense to the others. You all know the rest of the story. the xiaolin showdown from the finale is where this story ends. where it begins is when the monks first meet Good Chase Young. there, the Omi from the parallel world meets his idol, Clay makes a new friend, Dojo from the other world meets his old friend, Kimiko has a new crush, and Raimundo has his first rival ever for Kimiko's friendship. Yes, even in the alternate universe, Raimundo has a crush on Kimiko.

this is a more or less direct parody of the romantic comedy '27 Dresses' originally written by Aline Brosh McKenna and then directed by the same person who directed 'The Devil Wears Prada', Anne Fletcher. only my fanfiction details Kimiko Tohomiko living Jane Nicholas' life in the premise of the story. I'll just see if any of my readers can guess who her Kevin 'Malcom' Doyle is. unlike the premise of the original '27 Dresses', this fanfiction also takes place in Orlando, Florida, instead of New York City.

During the Heylin Eclipse, all light vanishes from the world. this is a fanfiction about the first day/night when the xiaolin dragons-in-training were sent to Master Monk Guan's temple to better prepare themselves to fight against Hannibal Bean. it is all about how worried Raimundo is about having to temporarily betray his friends once again, even if it is for the good of their mission to get the Treasure of the Blind Swordsman back from the bean-like demon. he's worried most of all about having to fight against Kimiko, however, for reasons he does not want to admit to even one of the others. Raimundo agrees to Master Monk Guan's secretly falsified treason, but the dragon of the wind almost too late states that his only condition for it is that Kimiko remains unharmed the whole time.

in this story, Kimiko receives a letter from her papa, a letter which includes the possibility of having to leave the xiaolin temple for good. Kimiko knows she misses her life back in Tokyo, but she also does not want to leave behind all the friends she has at the temple, either. What will Raimundo say about her leaving the temple for good?
