Clearing Stories

I’m running across a clearing in the middle of the woods to get away from the people who are chasing me. I hear a gun shot that just missed and hit the tree next to me. I have to run faster. I have to get to the light. I keep telling myself. Just as I’m about to run into the light, that I think might by a street, I trip over a log. I was so busy trying to get to the light that I didn’t see were I was going. I hear footsteps coming towards me faster then before. Then all I hear is silence. I look around frantically trying to see if they were there or not. I couldn’t hear anything but that doesn’t mean they weren’t there watching me. Zoey had a dream that she couldn't shake. It felt so real like she had been there before. She knew that was crazy. Her best friend Shay helps her understand more about dreams. But what happens if there not dreams? What if they were memories? When Zoey's at her Uncles birthday party, she finds herself in a situation where she never thought to find herself in. But how does she get out of it??

"You mean the result?" My father asked while chuckling, I nodded my head. "Scientists and leaders decided that it would be inhumane to test on us. So they tested on animals, but only ones with a high intelligence. Such as monkeys, and wolves. There was something wrong with the formula, it transformed the animals into things beyond horrible. Many of the animals became cannibals, or worse. They hunted humans. Scientists tried to stop them, but the animals couldn't be killed. The only weapon that could work on the animals was this," My father held up a shiny silver bullet.

In a strange dream, a black cat appeared. It had piercing green eyes and a sleek coat that shone in the moonlight. The cat led me through a maze of twisting alleyways and dark corners, always just out of reach. I followed it until we reached a clearing, where the cat sat down and looked at me expectantly. Suddenly, the world around us shifted and changed, becoming brighter and more vibrant. The cat stood up and transformed into a beautiful woman with long black hair. She smiled at me and said, "Thank you for following me. I needed someone to share this dream with." And then she disappeared, leaving me standing alone in the clearing, wondering what had just happened.
