After class, Brody quickly packed up her things and stood at Clementine's desk, waiting for her to finishing putting away her own books. "Clem!" She started, once more grabbing the envelope and poking the other girl with it. The burnette raised an eyebrow, looking up at her. "Yes, Brody?" She grumbled, swinging her backpack around as the two made their way to the cafeteria. Glancing down to the envelope, she took it, opening it at Brody's gesture. Her lips curved into a small smile, a snicker forming. "A birthday invitation? Really? Violet has given up on love because it has always ended in pain. Then she meant Clementine and as normal love is pain, but she wants this pain to happen again and again. Violet's eyebrows furrowed, her hand moving the stick across the dry ground. One letter, sign, two letter- "Violet!" The blond nearly jumped out of her skin, recognizing the voice as well as the shoes approaching her. Her body tensed as she quickly dug the heel of her boot into the ground, making it look less like"V+C" and more like dirt. As her eyes glanced up to meet Clementine's, the butterflies in her stomach flared, causing her mind to race and her heart to beat out of her chest. Why did she have to say her name like that?

Starting with a cold and sarcastic demeanor to end up as a caring, protective and loyal friend. But does Clementine think of her as only a friend or could there be more to the both of them in a world so dangerous?
