There are a lot of tropes like the Token Gal and really hilarious cliches like Clumsy unless in Combat. And I want to discuss them here with you. Now there is nothing wrong with cliches and tropes, mostly because they're unavoidable. It's when you use them all the time or in the worng way. Like "True Love's Kiss", "The Five Man Band", magic systems, and so on.

SPRING AWARDS 2020 WINNER // The pale splatter of my coffee juxtaposed against the blackness of the bitumen road is striking. All I can think is that it looks so reminiscent of those white chalk drawings, the outlines that people draw of dead bodies at a crime scene. That could have been my dead body. "Evangeline! Say something!" I turn my back on the ghost of my coffee to face him. "You owe me a coffee." Did I say that? My words seem mechanic, disjointed. Rafe gives me a weird look before he replies. "You owe me your life." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Evangeline Leger is a metaphorical mirror. Once a golden girl. Glimmering with aspirations, brimming with hope. Now she is broken. Her sharp, bitter fragments cut anyone who gets too close. A mere shadow of the girl she once was, she has become a shallow reflection of the person who used to own her heart. And to top all that off, she feels as if her seven years of bad luck have coincided with the start of her first year of college. Enter Rafe. Also known as Rich Boy Archer. When the universe (and a professor) throws the two of them together, Rafe and Evie become acquaintances, friends. Something more. And although Evie's sparkling façade does well to hide her dark past, she feels her mask slipping further and further with each growing moment she spends with Rafe. The ghosts of Evie's past still haunt her, threaten to spill into her new life. Nobody can know the truth about it. But, as Evie is about to discover, she's not the only one hiding behind a veneer. Because in Astoria, everybody wears a mask. And with dire misfortune and death following Evie as she navigates her new life in a game of shadows, somebody is bound to die.

About 33.9K fanfictions emerge when you directly type DC in the search bar at Wattpad. However, if you type Batman in the search results, the results go up to 41.8K and on typing Superman you get 42.8K stories so here I'm assuming that these heroes have fandoms of their own that are much more popular than the collective DC fandom (just an assumption...) While some of these fanfics are amazing and well worth every reader's time, there are a great many fanfictions which are either too cliché, contain too many errors or just not that appealing. In this help book, we will first discuss the cliché plots and errors made in writing and then there's also a lot more such as tips on improvement, the dos and don'ts of writing HP fanfiction, book reviews etc. *** P.S This is an opinion book and a completely hate free zone. I am not bashing anyone or any type of writing skills. And the sole reason for the creation of this help book is to help not hate.

Malia was the type of girl you would forget you met unless you cared. Now a senior in high school, she's managed to make herself invisible to 99% of her entire high school. That one percent that did acknowledge her existence was literally composed of her step brother, her younger sister and her two best friends. Pathetic, right? Maybe, but she could care less. She actually thrives not to be noticed by teachers and students - she wasn't really that into being the center of attention. But that all changes when she accidentally gets drunk at the biggest party of the year and kisses the schools it-boy, who just happens to be dating the most popular girl in school. So when a picture of them kissing is posted onto the internet, everybody knows who she is, and the rumors are worse than the horrible things his jealous girlfriend is doing to poor Malia. Will she survive the drama? x amazing cover by my friend @symptomatic_

Amelia Jeong never expected herself to fall for her insanely popular best friend who had once abandoned her.
