Cheng Xiaoshi wakes up alone on an abandoned Earth in the year 3050, long after humanity has scattered across the galaxies. The planet is dead, overrun by wandering alien lifeforms, and nothing remains of the world he once knew. For five years, he survives in isolation, relying on scavenged canned food and the flesh of hostile alien creatures to stay alive.
