17 year old Renata García Moctezuma moved from Mexico to Forks. She is not a normal human, but rather a shaman to her people, the one of the last groups of Itzá people in Mexico. In Forks, she meets a variety of people and supernatural creatures, which doesn't surprise her, since she is used to them. What surprises her, though, is how she learns to love.
