When Criminal Psychology student Mawaru Uwa receives some old metal spinning tops and a strange bracer from his grandmother for Christmas, he assumes they're nothing more than sentimental trinkets. Alongside her mother, nurse, and bodyguard she escapes to a small town and starts a new life behind a fake identity, Melanie wants to keep it low key and just get through each day unscathed, and more importantly alive, but she soon finds herself in deeper trouble, when a murder is committed and for some strange reason seems to be linked to her. Throw in a gang, a bunch of weird small town kids, a possible serial killer lurking in the shadows, and a mansion that may or may not be haunted, Melanie soon realizes, you can't outrun the past, even if you move to an almost nonexistent town, it eventually catches up to you.
