Cardan is a puzzle she didn't ask for but can't ignore, and the more she reaches for him, the more she realizes he might be reaching back. In a story about two people who see something in each other the world has overlooked, Cassie will learn that sometimes the most dangerous thing you can do is let someone in-and sometimes, it's the only way to truly live.

Chase pierce ~ Your typical closed off highschooler who only has three friends and switches between girls as often as you would switch your bed sheets never stopping to say hello and has never been a fan of small talk. Two teenagers both with troubled pasts and staged happiness will they heal together or fall into an endless void of their own problems? (tw - mentions of rape, physical abuse, verbal abuse)

A short story about a childish troodon and grumpy enantiornith who go on a quest to the Second Sun despite their clashing personalities. When they both realize that they are each essentially alone in life, though, they end up becoming each other's family. ~ Hi! This is a short story I wrote for my Creative Writing class in school. It's supposed to be historical fiction, but I don't exactly think that it fits if that makes sense (most historical fiction stories are often about early and pre 1900s humans, at least that I've seen). I got pretty good feedback for it which bolstered my own pride in it, so I figured I might as well post it here! I hope you enjoy :)

Despite this, Stella is determined to melt his ice cold heart. She knew that one day Jonah will need her, and she'll be right next to him when the day arrives. broken [ˈbrōkən] VERB having been fractured or damaged and no longer in one piece or in working order. (of a person) having given up all hope; despairing. What does it mean to be broken? Think about how it truly feels to be broken. Very few people can say that they know what being broken feels like. It's not something that you want to reveal to people because they see you differently. Ryder Daniels is one of the few people in this world that knows exactly what broken feels like. To most people he is known as the only bad boy in his town. To himself he's just broken. Once he broke people started leaving him and only a handful of people stayed to put him back together and make him feel whole again. Once they realized what a challenge it was, they left too. He decided then and there that he wasn't going to let anybody else in. He cut off all of his emotions and the only emotion he shows now is anger. Julianna Miller is also one of the few people that knows what broken feels like and she doesn't want to feel like that again. An incident in her past left her broken and shattered to pieces. With the help of people around her, she healed. Now all she wants to do is help others heal. Once Ryder and Julianna have a run in with each other, things start to change. Sebastian, assigned as her body guard. His past is unknown. He's made it his life's mission to annoy Emery out of her mind, but he's annoyed himself at the fact he can't stop thinking of her. His job is only to protect her, from everyone. But will he be able to protect her from the whole world? Emery, annoyed that her bodyguard goes everywhere she goes, can't wait to get rid of him. But what happens when she realizes that maybe he's the only friend she's ever had?
