The last opportunity was in year 11, and both boys have been determined to win the class president role. As Mateo and Karman go against each other in the role giving week, they start to feel a big connection growing. Although Karman is openly out as pansexual, Mateo is still in the closet but questioning if he would ever date his same gender.

Hey y'all. So the other day, my best friend @FalteringPeace asked me what the hell we would be like if we were born as male. If you didn't know I'm FTM and they're afab NonBinary so this was actually something we wanted to talk about. Being trans as horrible as an experience it is emotionally it shapes us in so many ways. We wanted to know just how crazy it would've been had we been born male. As we were talking about it we realized that it would've been a lot different and when I say a lot lot different than how we are now. This story is what we think would've happened had we been born male.

This is my first short story, an openly lesbian girl gets her heart broken by a scared closeted pansexual girl.

When you play a dating simulator, you expect the protagonist to be loving, nice, and even a little cliché at times... Cue the entrance of Spade Voltaire, a closeted member of the LGBTQ+ community. They've recently graduated from high school, barely getting by as they had straight Cs. Now they don't know what to do, and they don't have a lot to live for. One night, they fall asleep and is greeted by a disembodied voice. They don't have a say in the fact that they won't be waking up in their own home. They wake up during the afternoon, and they're on a train headed to Asagao Academy. The only goal in their mind is laying low, and figuring out how to get home, before they can't return home at all. *I own nothing in this story except for Spade and the cover art, as this is a work of pure fiction that nobody will probably read. This story was written for the Open Novella Contest in 2019.
