Written for a Queer writers of America competition with an annoying 5000 word limit I wrote this story and limited myself cutting things as the corrupted mayor and the developing relationship of the two main characters. My goal had been casual representation but now it is to flesh out the two's world. In the 1920's-1930's it was illegal to make wine or any alcohol let alone sell it. These illegal winemakers often sold to the mafia and many underground bars (probably also owned by the mafia). A prohibition officer is sent to a small town of farmers with suspicious access to alcohol and being a pit stop for many in world known mafia members. A corrupted mayor is involved as well as a openly bisexual character.
