Enemies to lovers is a doomed tale, right? Right? What started as an innocent mistake tumbles to several years worth of frosty interactions. Summer is a bubbly, stubborn sort of person. She'd easily spend an afternoon watching the world go by from a rooftop, or drinking straight from the chocolate milk carton. Pheobe couldn't be more different. Chilly and marvelous, her dream day is that of being locked in an ice rink with nothing but a pair of skates and a good playlist.

In memory of Micheal, my grandfather. A short story for a competition I never admitted. This story includes cancer and the passing of a loved one, please be aware before reading. --------------------------- x ----------------------- The fish returned to the life it knew, swimming with the family under the ripples of the surface. As I turned to face my grandpa, a sudden change in the air forced the grass to vibrate, trembling violently under the force it brought. Grey washed over the blue sky, dark, soggy clouds formed together, and the petals strode angrily like a whirlwind.

"Well then I have decided." She tucks her hands behind her, completely bug-eyed. "Alright. Tell me." My cheery voice cannot be concealed. I, without a doubt, took a step closer to her, while everyone's bulging their eyes out in the hallway. She closes the gap as she presses her plump lips into my right ear. Damn that almost got me. What was I even thinking? "Let's fake date, just as you wished." With that, she parades off with her head up high, throwing me a side wink.

Canvas Clouds is a contemplative piece that explores the intersection of nature's beauty and the human imagination. Rather than a simple observation of the sky, the poem depicts a meditative state where the observer projects their internal aspirations and unspoken memories onto the shifting forms above. The "canvas" serves as a metaphor for the infinite potential of the mind when it is allowed to disconnect from the frantic pace of daily life.
