Love story Cloud hasn't got much over with the fact of Aerith's death. He stays in his own little dark world, not noticing how his loved ones are hurt. He shut himself down and turned cold and serious. (reader) has been trying to turn his life around and helps Cloud with his change of attitude, and both experience love moments that they didn't expect that would happen througout their journey that lasted for months.

You are engaged to Cloud Strife, Gaia's finest seemingly unfeeling, emotionless merc. It was all a front though, and as his long-term fiancé, you knew that better than anyone. After you get badly injured in a mission gone wrong, his behaviour becomes erratic and you don't know if you can marry him anymore. Needing to escape for a while, you decide to run away for your own sanity. Will he be able to track you down and convince you to come home? *Cross posting for parity of feedback* :)
