After a wither is awoken in an ancient temple, the guardians find themelves in the nether where they must stop Carnage from unleashing a Wither army that will destroy the world. This book is tied in with @Ty_Savage's story "When Withers Arise" and we will be making an awesome adventure map based on our books

I always believed I've had a normal life. Normal family and friends. I've wished for normal. But some people are meant to have the most messed up life. But the worst was that it wasnt told up front it was hidden by lies. From my father and most trusted friend. My life couldn't get any worst. A year ago, Cate Xylyk's then-nine-year-old brother was murdered. Now she's attempting to get over it by applying for a job at the local hospital with her best friend. But the job isn't the only thing she turns to, and she slowly gets deeper into a prescription-drug chemical-laden mess.

Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. I also don't own the amazing cover art, and I don't know who does... same goes for the chapter art, they're all either off of Google or Pinterest! 😂 P.S. the first chapter sort of "sets the scene" for the rest of the book, so bear with me!
