Cora immediately springs into action and asks Patrick permission to go America with her daughters. He agrees but Violet is less than pleased to let her go. Rosamund joins Cora to help with the girls and give Cora a companion to travel with.

Modern AU. 38 y/o Cora Levinson had a stroke driving home from work. She was able to get through it with support from her family. Her parents, brother and sisters. When her father's business needs a change . they all pack up and move to England changing things even more for the now 40 year old. She'd gotten used to life as it was in her hometown. Losing friends after her diagnosis and time in the hospital. She was told that was usual but that didn't make her feel any better. If she couldn't keep friends how was she to make any? Would she be able to find someone willing to be stuck with an invalid for the rest of their lives? She didn't know. - based loosely on this writer's life

"I'd like to give her three bags full, preferably on a dark night." - Miss O'Brien I thought this was a telling comment about miss O'Brien. It started to make me wonder what made her the way she is. She was so loyal to Cora but she could turn on a dime when things don't go her way.

The librarian was only mentioned in passing During the series. What if Cora learned more from him than anyone realized as he treated her like the daughter he never had. Also Carson's fears come true in a rather nasty way.

Cora's thoughts after Robert's ulcer burst. It scared her more than she cared to admit.

Johnny Bates escapes from Nanny before it's time to leave. Anna looks everywhere only to find him with his favorite Auntie, the Countess of Grantham. Cora is in love with this boy even though it hurt when he was born. How does everyone get a boy on the first try and she lost her little Viscount. It hurt terribly so the way she felt she could heal was to dote on little Johnny Bates.

Cora poses this question to her husband of 7 months and Robert, feeling quite wretched because he hasn't fallen in love with her, remembers the last talk about Cora with Patrick before his death.

this story is based on a dream I had after seeing the photo on the book cover. It wouldn't leave me alone. It's set during season 2 of Downton Abbey. Robert volunteers to fight and not even a day after he leaves, Isobel and Clarkson suggest the Convalescent home idea to Cora and Violet. the latter of course is livid but Cora stands her ground so they move forward.

My first modern AU of Downton and cobert! Robert Crawley is the CEO of the Abbey Hoteliers Group based in Yorkshire England. when the Levinson dry goods and Grocers pulls out of their hotel based in Cincinnati for treatment of his son and heir to the company. He's sent to America to smooth things over. Only to meet the daughter of Mr.Levinson, 20 year old Cora, the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen but also the most infuriating. Can Cora's mother make a match of them especially when she thinks Simon Bricker is a better one?Will Robert's mother approve the match?

Set during season 1. Cora has a hard time with nightmares after carrying Pamuk's body down the hall while suffering from pneumonia. Her fears are triggered when ever she enters the hall or falls asleep.

As an Egyptologist from America who is transferred to curate the King Tut exhibit at the British museum of Natural History where she meets the famous Robert crawley, descendant of the Edward Herbert the man who discovered king Tut's tomb and director of the museum. It seems that Cora keeps thinking she's met Robert before but not sure where. She tries to understand and starts dreaming of a past life Married the 7th Earl who bears a striking resemblance to Robert Crawley.

AU - There are a few stories out there where Thomas ends up being Cora and Robert's first-born and missing son. A friend, whose favorite downstairs character was William, gave me a prompt to write a version of it where he is their son instead. So, here you go. Some things have been kept the same as in the series, but there are a few changes.

If you haven't noticed, I'm a fan of Season 2 but I always wondered what it would have ben like if Robert went to fight (Strallen why not him?)and Cora found out she was pregnant while he was gone. This is focused on Cora kicking ass and taking names (Isobel!)
