There once was a girl who couldn't speak. She rarely said anything, but when she did- it was croaky and rasping, like metal on metal. Cochise was her name. Her mother's death still looming; at eleven years old being handed over to a father's friend; she said three words that year. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Her brown hair was tangled and long, like it hadn't been cut in years. Her eyes glinted with a bit of green, and the chocolate brown seemed to be melting. Her skin was smeared with dirt, and the fingerprints burned red with inner fire on her right cheek.
