Athel-Siar drifts through the ominous Ghoul Stars, having survived unspeakable trials since its very birth. Marked by a psychic scar that robs them of all hope, the Aeldari of Athel-Siar oppose this malignant nihilism by adhering rigorously to the Path and by protecting the Exodites of the Ghoul Stars from every threat. For 10,000 years they have struggled to survive in the shadows, keeping the galaxy unaware of their existence-save for other Aeldari Craftworlds and a handful of scholars of alien races. The End Times will shatter the fragile balance Athel-Siar has managed to build over ten millennia: will it endure the onslaught of Chaos and the return of its own past? What follows is a narrative codex, telling the origins and history of the Craftworld Athel-Siar from the Fall of the Aeldari to the opening of the Great Rift. There are no technical references or game rules, just narrative. The tone is largely that of an official codex, with the exception of several short stories and one longer tale included within. It can be enjoyed as a linear, chronological read (which allows the overarching narrative to be fully appreciated), or approached in a more fragmented way (the short stories, in particular, can also be read on their own).
