During a mission on Hays Minor that goes absolutely haywire, a very injured Obi-Wan Kenobi and the 212th's Marshall Commander Cody are trapped in a cave that has been completely and thoroughly blocked as a result of an avalanche. With no communication, limited supplies, and no clear exit point while one is heavily injured, it can be said that it has already proved to be difficult. With any signs of hope being diminished, will both Cody and Obi-Wan be able to keep some flick of faith through this hard time? Will the two men learn more about each other than they ever thought possible? Cody leads the 212th battalion. His days are somehow complicated and simple, that constant litany of hurry up and wait every soldier hates knowing but still, there's a rhythm to it and he's as settled as a person in his place can be. But he has a problem, see, there's a mission coming up. He has to look at the troopers he's known for years, the ones he calls his vode, his siblings, and he has to pick one knowing no matter how good they are, no matter how skilled, this is one mission they won't come back from. "Can I help you, soldier?" Cody asks the trooper at his door, armour just barely painted yet scuffed enough they can't be a shiny. "I'm here to volunteer, sir." Cody wanted to go and kiss Obi-Wan. He couldn't do that with the kids there, they would fake gagging for another ten minutes, so he settled on squeezing Obi-Wan's shoulder gently. "Hi, love."
