Crosshairs and Bumblebee, who knew that these two would have a brother relationship? They didn't. But when these two are trapped alone while waiting for a rescue they figure out that two very different bots can have such an ordinary relationship.

This story takes place after The Last Knight in the Bay series. And WHERE it takes place is in the town that is only an hour away from the junkyard where Cade and the Autobots resided for the last few years. The town of Shawnzees has suffered through numerous battles of humans against Transformers, so it is only natural to clean up and then throw a parade in the honor of the heroes who put themselves in danger and have sacrificed in order to save the world. Autobots, other Cybertronians, and humans are invited and there, in that little town, they meet a group of misfits that connect to their very sparks. But little did they know that a deep darkness is threatening to destroy the planet and that these misfits are the key to saving the world.

However, when a familiar Prime eventually returns, with all of her old friends and new faces, she did not want to believe it. In fact, she almost down rights rejects them. Even when they tell her what really happened the last few years. She had been hurt and let down so often in the past, and she believed it would only continue. But with some wisdom from a man she barely knew, and the love she still carried for Optimus Prime, she finds herself following them back to Chicago to find out answers to questions. All the while, Saphira's dreams were plagued by a mysterious figure. And it seems that this same figure has begun to whisper into Optimus's processor. To the point where she didn't know what to believe. At least until the horns began to rise from the Earth.
