From International Athletes in a sport involving live firearms, paint, tranquilizers and heavily specialized coatings of chemically reactive paint, to the mid 1970's in Eastern Germany, two teams must figure out what to do to survive and in that process break the many oaths and traditions of their sport to get to friendlier territory.

First they survived a serial killer in their own barracks. Then they went to the wall against a pre-conflict strike of Soviet Union soldiers attacking them in their own barracks, leaving behind half of their number dead and the survivors of the brutal close quarters combat shell shocked and physically wounded. Criminal Investigation Division, the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the FBI, and the CIA are all interested in what went on. Accompanying the members of the Alphabet Agencies is the aide of a member of the House Military Affairs Commission and members of the Secret Service. All of them wanted to know what happened. Unfortunately for them, the blood spilled on the mountain in the name of madness and hatred has woken it from its ancient slumber. And it wants more. THIS STORY IS A ROUGH DRAFT/STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS VERSION OF WHAT WILL EVENTUALLY BE EDITED AND EXPANDED INTO BOOK FOUR OF THE PUBLISHED SERIES.

Currently focussing on one difficult week in the 20-year Angola Civil War. David is a 19yr old conscript, part of an elite fighting unit who go into battle against an overwhelmingly large opposition who're equipped with some of the Cold War's most fearsome military material. This is a story of the bravery, fear and anxiety which co-exist during war. The ECR was in a similar predicament, as their economy peaked in the early 2180's.
