This is a fanfiction for Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, which takes place after the season 2 finale. Specifically, a few months after the Featherington ball. Netflix and Julia Quinn have all rights and credit to their work. Penelope is enraged and disheartened by the harsh words of a certain Bridgerton amidst fireworks on one retched night. She knows not what vexes her more, her destroyed friendship with Eloise or that Colin played the hero that night only for her to discover him to be a villain in disguise. Unsure of her next move Penelope finds herself at the Bridgerton household, only she isn't greeted by whom she expects.

P.S A lot of scenes / quotes are taken from the TV show and some from Romancing Mr. Bridgerton so I didn't come up with a couple of them! Also I did not come up with the characters they are used from Julia Quinn! ( This story takes place after the ending of season 2 ) After Penelope overhears her beloved Colin telling everyone that he would never dream of courting her she feels heartbroken and upset knowing the only man she thought was different proved her to be wrong, she decides to try and forget about Colin and focus on marrying but he will not stop trying to do everything in his favour for her to forgive him. Penelope started to dress differently and change how she looked to be more presentable for suitors, not only does she end up attracting more suitors than previous seasons but she also captures the attention of the one and only Colin Bridgerton.

This fanfic is based off the Bridgerton Season 3 synopsis. After hearing those heart wrenching words come out of the mouth of the one she loves, Penelope is ready to move on and make an impact on the marriage mart Colin, who just arrived home from his travels, is confused to why his close friend Penelope is giving him the cold shoulder. After finding out that she heard what he said that one night, Colin wants to do anything he can to make it up to Penelope. Since Penelope's goal to find a husband isn't going well, due to her lacking confidence, Colin offers to help Penelope. But will his tactics work too well? Will Colin finally open his eyes to what has been in front of him this whole time? *I do not own any of the characters in this book.*
