As he reached the end of year 7 him and Harry Potter had started talking more, the reason Harry was at Hogwarts was to complete his last year he missed. Ron didn't for his last year but Hermione went for the last year she needed. Hermione helped Harry and Colin Become friends, why? She ships it and Colin seemed lonely he never really had friends.
