Even the best of us need vacations. After a heated argument, Aloncia decided that his brother, Cyrus, is long overdue for a break from all the excitement, though Cy isn't going to admit it. Wylder is a Shade who's lost her vision, perhaps forever. She lives on her own in a city with a pretty good reputation. A while back, her grandfather was found mysteriously close to death on the side of a road with savage burn marks. While working her job and maintaining her apartment, she has made it a goal to find her grandfather's murderer. Lonx is a former human being mercilessly killed, then resurrected by a Necromancer. Trying to find his place in the modern world isn't easy as an undead skeleton, and has proven to be his greatest challenge yet. Three separate lives become intertwined in one book. (lol idk what else to put)

Since I am lazy people, imma make this short(-ish?) So, you think the world you live in is normal. Not for a boy who was given a disguised plasma sword when he was only five. Not when he has a brother with unique powers. Not when he has a history unlike any other. Then it gets even more unnatural. He meets another boy about his age with an appearance unnatural in itself.
