"The ring - let me see it." "Oh... y... es... yes... " Her eyes still closed, she slides the ring off her finger and hands it over to the counter. I feel her attempt to reach it to me, but she fails miserably and gives the ring to God. "U-Uh, a bit lower, Hawk." "Oh, ok!" She then lowers it, to the ground. "Is this good?" I sigh, "You know what, I'll just grab it." "No!" She takes back the ring, holding it against her chest. "Fine. May I please have it? And can you please hand it over in the correct direction?" "O-O-O-Of c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-course!" She stutters horribly. Hawk throws the ring in the air and promptly falls asleep again. I catch it, turning it over and looking at the inside of the band. Just as expected - the same engravings. I don't want to waste anymore time here but to be nice, I carry Hawk over to the loveseat so she wouldn't be sleeping on the floor.

I've been plunged into boiling hot water and I was being cooked alive in the heat. I was trying to grip onto the smooth walls of the pod but they were too slippery and smooth for gripping onto, I feel my nails bend and rip off. I want to scream but I can hear water rushing past my ears and my brain tells me it's not a good idea to scream. I hold my breath, my eyes watering and drying back up under the boiling water. My vision is blurry but i'm still desperately trying to grip onto the smooth walls with my nail-less fingers. I know it's useless. My hands keep sliding off. My stomach is twisting, making me feel sick, I didn't want to drown. I felt so helpless. Because there was nothing I could do. ________________ In the year 2084 the birthrate was abnormally low, but in year 2086 the birthrate went back up and strangely created some abnormalities, 93% of the children had supernatural abilities- yes 93% only. The remaining 7% were either killed for being useless or were subjected to Project Zero Ability. A group of five are no exception to the word worthless, them being one of the first subjects to the Project Zero Ability- and quite possibly the last. Probability of death: 97% But that's alright, us five are- let's say- quite familiar with Death.

🎙️ The Last Broadcast "If you can hear this... you're one of the lucky ones." The world ended quietly. No bombs. No plague. No monsters clawing out of the dirt. Just silence - spreading across the globe like a blanket, until even the sky stopped answering. And yet, at midnight, one station still hums through the static. WZRD-89.9. The Last Broadcast. Every night, its host - the elusive DJ Lazarus - opens the line to anyone still out there. The desperate. The hopeful. The lost. Some callers share stories of survival. Others whisper confessions meant for ghosts. And a few... don't sound human at all. But as more voices tune in, the truth behind the signal begins to surface. The tower everyone swears burned down years ago might never have existed. The transmissions might not be live. And Lazarus might not be broadcasting alone. ⸻ 🕛 Apply-Fic Information • Applications open October 22 - November 12, 2025 (00:00 EST) • 8-12 accepted callers will join the network • Submit your "transmission file" and become part of the final frequency "Tell your story before the static takes the line."
