College AU Byler. Art major Will Byers is trying to finish a painting for class. English major Mike Wheeler is supposed to be helping him focus. Instead, Mike spends the afternoon watching Will instead of the canvas, and Will finds himself paying more attention to Mike than his work. What starts as harmless teasing quickly turns into paint fights, lingering glances, and years of unspoken feelings finally coming to the surface. Between colorful paint smudges, shared laughter, and a studio filled with afternoon sunlight, Mike and Will discover that some masterpieces are never meant to stay on the canvas.
