As I climbed my way up the ancient tree, I kept my eyes peeled for place to lodge my bare feet into the curves and crevices of its bark. Pulling myself up by its strong vines, I was finally high enough to grab hold of a sturdy branch. With one great heave, I lift myself onto my perch. The wind whipped my long strands of hair into my face. Distractedly, I tucked them behind my ear, staring at the site before me. "What do you see, my child?" Called Grandmother Willow. She stood below the tree, her hands cupped around her mouth to help her voice carry over to me. What do I see? I wish I knew myself. The massive, billowing white fabric scraped against the sky as it moved through the trees. They seemed to have a mind of their own, moving steadily in one direction. The tall forest concealed the rest of the view from me, leaving me at the mercy of my own imagination. Was it possibly dangerous? Harmless? The thought excited me yet scared me to the core. It was big and bold yet subtle, camouflaging with the white fluffy masses floating along side it in the sky. "Clouds?" I reasoned out loud. "Strange clouds." If they really were just clouds, it was far from anything I have ever seen. Curiosity flooded my mind, clutching me with its iron grip. Dangerous or not, my mind was made up. I will follow these strange clouds.
