For centuries, every colony in the solar system has followed the same law: the dead must be launched into orbit. Their coffins drift in vast, glittering rings around Mars, Europa, Titan and beyond. Graveyards in the sky. Perfectly ordered. Untouched. Until now. When engineer Aria Solberg witnesses a coffin shift on its own, she uncovers the first sign of an impossible pattern forming above Mars. Across the solar system, similar shapes begin to emerge-fractals, spirals, structures of staggering precision. The dead are moving. As fear, misinformation, and political chaos spread across the colonies, a small group of scientists races to decode the phenomenon before the truth tears humanity apart. What the dead are revealing isn't supernatural. It's physics. And it's a warning. Something vast is approaching the solar system-and humanity's last hope lies in the hands of those who can read the message written in the orbiting dead.

In Neverland, no children grow up - except one. He was first a lost boy with no name and no past, then a reluctant pirate with no hope for a future. Now, he is about to become Neverland's new hero. Silver doesn't know where he belongs, with no memory of where he came from or even by what name he was called before he came aboard the Constantine as a lost, wandering ten-year-old. He also can't seem to figure out why has been growing from boy to adolescent much faster than he thought possible in a place where time supposedly stood still - a very strange island called Neverland, laden with myths of women with fish tails instead of legs, tiny men with insect wings, and natives who seem to know something the pirate captain doesn't. After his bloodthirsty captain leads him into the gruesome plundering of an indigenous village, Silver's quest for answers becomes a quest for redemption for the things he committed on that fateful day. But it will require having the courage to reckon with his past, accept his fate, and maybe even learn what love is for the first time. And it all begins the day he is sentenced to death by walking the plank.

Earth has become over populated. Food and other essentials are in short supply. Crime is at a all time high. The solution was to colonize Mars. The year is 2125 and the population on earth has reached almost 11 billion people. Farming and ranch land is being replaced by large housing towers. Most of these consisted of small apartments that had to share a bathroom. Showers were limited to four minutes and if you were lucky, you got slightly warm water. This is where most people lived unless they were rich. Even they had to deal with food shortages and power blackouts. All this has led to major food shortages. Wars are being fought not for land or power but for food and resources. The crime rate is higher than it's ever been. Looters and gangs ran ramped. It got so bad that a law was passed that allowed business owners to hire armed guards and could shoot to kill anyone stealing from them. it was decided anyone convicted of a crime and sentenced to more than thirty years in prison would be an automatic death penalty. No matter how severe the laws and penalties got the crime rate never slowed down. To slow down the population growth down one child per family was passed and you could only have a child if you could get a permit from your government. Only a small number of permits were issued each year. Anyone having a child without a permit is sent to prison. Until the population dropped back to under 8 billion nothing was going to change. Nobody drove cars anymore because gas was $18.00 a gallon, a pound of hamburger meat was $32.00 $3.00 for a slice of bread. For those with electric cars it costs almost $200.00 to charge them. things here in Texas are bad but not as bad as cities like los Angeles.

When humans left Earth behind eons ago, they had no idea the galaxy would be such a dangerous place, full of pirates, conmen, and hostile alien species. Nor did they know they'd become pawns in a galactic game of strategy, intrigue, and daring, that would see empires rise and fall, and fortunes made and lost. The Great Game. If you're bold enough to play and risk it all, the galaxy can be yours. Or, you might walk away with little more than your life-if you're lucky enough to walk away at all. Stasia Kincaid has never heard of the Great Game, at least not until she learns her mother died while playing it. Not only that, her mother was also the greatest space pirate who ever ruled the skies of I-space, and was on the verge of winning-before she was murdered. When a member of the mysterious alien race known as the Denaquka approaches Stasia and asks her to take her mother's place, she sees it as a chance to avenge her mother and learn about the woman she thought she knew. Too bad she isn't entirely sure what the Game is or how to play it. But as the Denaquka like to say: Entertain them or die. Stasia soon learns she has no idea who to trust or just how deep the levels of manipulation go. Suddenly the difference between competitor and ally is impossible to judge. Can she trust the people she meets on her quest to win or will everyone she cares about betray her? And if she does manage to navigate through a game where the rules keep shifting, when she peels back the layers to find the truth, is she even sure she'll want the prize at the end?

For the people of Earth, society has achieved a sort of Utopia. Humanity has since expanded their holdings across hundreds of planets. New planets are constantly being found and colonized. Before colonization, however, a planet must be Pioneered. A Pioneer is a volunteer. Their role is to screen and prepare a planet for Settlement, the act of officially colonizing a planet. The occupation, while lucrative, is as respected as it is feared. Most Pioneers are selected, but even those selected are given the option to refuse: Pioneering is the only career in which Death is a common, even expected risk. Besides Death, Pioneering itself carries the potential for "Chronic Displacement". For this reason, few Pioneers prepare more than three or four planets, and are financially able to retire at that point. Without debate, it is the most dangerous, but most necessary, choice of occupation. Alys Pavais is an eccentric student, but achieves high Aptitude Scores for several subjects. Her favorite and best subject is Creative Writing. As a result of her Aptitude Scores, she has an unusually wide variety of choices for occupation. She goes on to Pioneer more planets than any predecessor. This is a Story of Stars, and the Girl who travels across Them.

Tully got it, but didn't appreciate it... ...living in a barrel was no joking matter. This is the unfortunate tale of a bunch of kids zooming across the galaxy and, in parallel, the story of how they got there.
