Soulmate AU where you can not see the colour of your soulmate's eyes until you and they share a kiss. Not just the shade, the whole colour. If your soulmate has blue eyes, no blue for you ever. This would result in people with heterochromia's soulmates to be super confused. Harry was confused. He grew up and could see every colour but he definitely did not kiss anyone. Draco was either blessed or a dissapointment, his parents hadn't decided. The Malfoy-Black families have always been Slytherin and now the heir can't even see Slytherin green. But perhaps marrying a woman with green eyes should be something to be proud of.

"when all colour is gone, the rain begins..." this was a contest entry! it's not my best work but i'm pretty proud of the outcome. the story follows a girl who is colourblind, interlaced with poetic snippets. this girl is never named. she also has an (unnamed) brother who helps her deal with her colourblindness. however, the focus of the story isn't on the condition itself, but the colourblindness is more of a metaphor for her trying to find colour in the grey areas of life. i had to write this story in under 1000 words, so i hope that it's not too poorly written... anyway, enjoy!
