Mars, Aimee, Tyler and Harry met in a clearing in the town forest last summer. All up there for their own reasons. It seems unlikely that they would have ever met if it wasn't for that night. The rich girl, not popular enough to be cool, not indie enough to be a misfit, who finds tearing herself apart the only way to entertain. The secretive, shy girl who can hardly talk to anyone outside her family unless she's drunk. Popular, but not at all happy and funny, outgoing but troubled boys. How the hell did this group become friends. Well they did. But then, just after leaving a end-of-the-road high school, they meet other people, including Lacey. All with different reactions to the hypertalented and beautiful new addition to the group, could friendships formed so tight break apart spectacularly?
