Three events that change Jamie Kirk's destiny. The first is the arrival of the Narada, when Nero and his crew destroy the USS Kelvin and her father, George Kirk. The second is when nine year old Jamie convinces her older brother George Samuel Kirk to stay instead of running away from home and their abusive uncle. This moment starts Sam and Jamie on a path where they will meet the newly appointed Captain Christopher Pike, influence a new agenda of Romulan peace, and battle a logic influenced Vulcan cadet with emotion and philosophy. All these changes leading to very different events when Nero makes his final stand.

Eve turned to him, and they were once again face to face, mere inches apart. He couldn't look away from her, mesmerized by her eyes that seemed to glimmer in the light. He noticed her lean in a little closer, ever so slightly, then stop, never breaking eye contact. Eventually he caught himself, backing away and looking back at the lyre to show her the next note. Join Eve as she adjusts to life aboard the Enterprise. New friends, new experiences, and maybe.. something more? The USS Enterprise is famous for many reasons. It's history of incredible missions - going where no man has gone before -, it's young daredevil Captain Kirk, and it's Cheif Medical Officer renown in Starfleet for his, shall we say, unique style of practice. Could anyone melt down his tough Southern heart? (A short fanfiction taking place in the AU with McCoy played by Karl Urban. Title to be potentially changed.)
