Being Indian American feels like living in a pressure cooker wrapped in a smile. You're told to be perfect, productive, palatable - never loud, never intimidating. But travel to India, and you'll meet folks who are bold, stylish, confident, and unapologetically gangsta. DEAR DIASPORA, YOU'RE NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER is a sharp, personal callout - not to India, but to the suffocating performance of "representation," perfectionism and intraracial competition that dominates Desi life in the West. This isn't a sob story - it's a truth bomb. A cultural essay that demands real freedom, not filtered branding. If you're ready to sip some realness, break free from the cage of expectations, and find your max pro aura - this is for you. 🍋 Bold. Tart. Sweet. Unfiltered. 🍋 Just like a glass of limeade on a hot day.

To keep myself from losing track of: all the 2026 contests I've entered, all the 2026 contests I've volunteered myself as a judge (or let myself be volun-told into judging), all the 2026 books I've had to read as a contestant or as a judge, all the 2026 deadlines, and all the other important stuff, here is a book that registers all these 2026 things in a somewhat organized fashion. With occasional commentary. For the record, I am not Lady Whistledown, and I do not have all the gossip of the ton. Nota bene: Although other people are welcome to browse my public contest logs and look for contests, look for information about details of contests (i.e. you want me to pour you some tea), etc, these contest logs are primarily for my own use. I enter so many contests that I can't keep track of them without a log. I forget important details, too, including things like "Note to self: You do not get along with this contest host, best not participate in their contests." Like my 2024 and 2025 contest logs, this journal was never meant to be an "expose" book. I'm not exposing anybody. Contests are matters of public record, as are any comments made in the contest books. I'm just a ditz who needs a written log to keep track of everything. I would lose my head if it hadn't been attached to my shoulders. I DO NOT CONSENT TO MY POETRY AND PROSE BEING USED TO TRAIN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Lyrics from Olivia Rodrigo's new album, because apparently I enjoy emotional damage. I'm just here to scream, cry, overanalyze them, and share my thoughts on the songs. I didn't write these songs and if I did, I'd probably be busy accepting a Grammy instead of making this book. DISCLAIMER: All lyrics belong to Olivia Rodrigo and her team. I don't own any of the lyrics, no copyright infringement intended. But the book cover and all the artworks in this book are made by me :)

In Abuja, nothing is as simple as it looks. When Chioma moves into a new school system shaped by silent hierarchies, she quickly realizes that belonging is not given,it is assigned. Old students rule the invisible structure of acceptance. New students learn to survive it. Roomed with Esther, a seemingly perfect "good Christian girl," Chioma begins to notice cracks beneath carefully constructed identities. Esther is admired, disciplined, and respected, but something about her life feels controlled rather than free. At the same time, Chioma reconnects with Daniel, a charismatic outsider she meets at a social event. What begins as casual friendship slowly reveals a deeper struggle beneath his laughter one that hides dependency, pressure, and escape. As Chioma observes her world, she also meets others orbiting the same system: Zainab, who lives through image and validation Kemi, who confuses emotional dependency for love Tobi, a child slowly absorbing a world he does not yet understand What appears as normal teenage life is, in reality, a silent system of pressure where identity is performed, emotions are hidden, and survival depends on adaptation. But Chioma is different. She does not just live in the system. She sees it. And the more she observes, the clearer one truth becomes: No one is truly outside the board. Everyone is just playing a different square.

A wickedly funny collection of razor-sharp witticisms, deadpan observations, and brutally honest life truths from Spes Semper-for anyone exhausted by modern life, difficult people, family chaos, social media madness, aging knees, workplace absurdity, and the general decline of common sense. Part survival guide, part social commentary, part elegant emotional support in book form, Semper Said It So You Don't Have To delivers clever, caustic humor with wisdom forged through experience, disappointment, and repeated exposure to humanity. Perfect for readers who love sophisticated sarcasm, dark humor, and laughing at the beautiful disaster that is adulthood.

What happens when the law stops protecting families-and starts rewriting them? Companion to Silent Clause pulls readers deeper into the world behind the story: the hidden policies, fractured families, silenced teachers, and students caught between truth and survival. Part reflection, part survival guide, and part warning, this companion explores the emotional and political realities that inspired the novel's dystopian world. Through essays, notes, deleted scenes, and commentary, readers will uncover the fears, conflicts, and questions at the heart of Silent Clause: parental rights, identity, censorship, education, and the cost of speaking openly in a culture that demands compliance. For readers of speculative fiction, social commentary, and dark academic dystopias, this companion offers a closer look at the systems behind the silence-and the people trying to resist it
