Hi, my name's Eva. I was dating a vampire for a while, he was a pretty nice guy. Well, until he wasn't. Then one day he let me go. All was well, until Warren showed up. He turned out to be a vampire too. But he was pretty nice, so I decided to help him. None of this ended very well for me. My mother told me I was always too nice for my own good. But before I give up any more spoilers, I guess I should let you guys read my story.

At age seventeen Alice May Johnson is grabbed off the streets of Minneapolis, heading to the homeless shelter for her volunteer work in order to graduate high school. Little does Alice know, there is a lot more then just a essay included in this humbling experience. Her whole life is shaken when she is pulled into this world of vampires dwelling in the heart of the city known as International Falls. But in the end will she even remember when her heart turns to ice?
