"Is this real," I murmured as the blush crept up my neck. My eyes scanned his face for any hint that this is a joke, but I found nothing, no hint of regret or of a lie. "I'm not dreaming, right?"
He smirked and gently took my hand. "Only if you want this to be a dream." I looked between my hand and him, still unsure. I shook my head, the heat rapidly retreating from my cheeks.
"This could never happen to me, so I must be dreaming right? You can't like me, I'm.." My eyes frantically searched around the garden while I tried to find the reason, any reason, that he could like me. I came up with nothing and sighed. "I'm just.. Me, I guess." My eyes finally rested on the ground as I took a step back from him. "This is kind of a cruel joke, you know. "As I turn to walk back inside, he takes a hold of my hand again, smiling for real this time.
"Maybe I can prove it to you."

Also, the cover is just kind of a work in progress, so kindly ignore my bad skills, I'm attempting to make a better one right now!
