...... ...Paper Cigarette (slices of life)... ...for better or for worse, what happens on the Camino does not always stay on the Camino.... .. it's a journal style novel (fiction)....... it's about a man who inadvertently finds himself on the Santiago/Compostela (camino) pilgrimage.... through stories and personal anecdotes, he reminisces about people and events in his life, in his quest to better understand himself with regards to his new-found spirituality and empath capabilities....... .... the quasi free punctuation, writing style is intentional.... ...the novel is about thinking and for the reader I wanted him\her not just to read about the protagonist but gradually get into the mind of the main character and feel his thoughts........ also, paragraphs usually start with a mood word to set the tempo/tone of the forthcoming story segment....... ....one last thing.....since every journal entry has a geographical city location, to accentuate the reading experience, it is recommended to Google/search the city images.......as a picture is worth a 1000 words hence opening up an insight into the protagonist's world.....

The Camino de Santiago was not even on my bucket list. Yet, after reading about it, the idea of backpacking for five weeks appealed to me; and the more I thought about it the more compelling it became. It promised the freedom, challenge, and adventure that I was seeking. If I could walk between 20 and 30 km per day, in a little more than a month, I would traverse northern Spain from east to west, going over mountains, across farmer's fields and vineyards, and even walk on an piece of old roman road. I would pass through medieval cities, charming towns, and quaint villages, some dating back to before the Middle Ages. Follow me as I share with you my Camino experiences: the thrill and adventure, the emotional roller coaster of long days of walking, and the pleasurable encounters with so many wonderful people.
